If you're trying to update your property’s market value in TaxTank and CoreLogic data isn’t available, don’t worry, this can happen for a few different reasons. While we provide all available data whenever possible, there are instances where either the market value, the growth percentage, or both may not be available.
Ensuring your address is matched correctly
One common reason for missing CoreLogic data is an incorrect or manually entered address. CoreLogic relies on precise location data, so if an address is entered manually and does not match official property records, it can prevent CoreLogic from retrieving valuation and growth data.
✅ Avoid manual address entry where possible, instead use the suggested addresses provided in TaxTank.
✅ Double-check your property details if you’re not seeing data available.
✅ Contact support if you're unsure, our team can help verify if the address is correct and assist in getting the data matched properly.
Why CoreLogic data might be missing
Even when an address is correctly entered, CoreLogic relies on market data to provide property valuations and growth forecasts. If any part of this data isn’t available, it’s typically due to one of the following reasons:
Limited Sales Data – If your property is in a rural or low-turnover area with few comparable sales, CoreLogic may not have enough market activity to generate an accurate valuation or growth forecast.
Newly Built or Off-the-Plan Properties – If your property hasn’t been sold before or is newly constructed, CoreLogic may not yet have any recorded market data.
Unique or Uncommon Property Types – Properties with unusual features, zoning restrictions, or highly customised builds may not fit into CoreLogic’s valuation models.
Market Volatility or Inconsistent Data – In some cases, rapid market changes or inconsistent data can make it difficult for CoreLogic to generate reliable estimates.
Data Access Restrictions – Occasionally, CoreLogic may not have access to certain property records due to external data agreements or regulatory restrictions.
What you can do
If CoreLogic data isn’t available, you can still manually enter your property’s market value and growth forecast to ensure you have an accurate financial picture. Here’s how:
✅ Market Value – If CoreLogic cannot generate a valuation, you can enter your own based on recent sales, an independent valuation, or market insights.
✅ Growth Forecast – If CoreLogic’s growth percentage isn’t available, you can set your own growth expectations based between 0-10% from the slider based upon your own research or market trends.
✅ Partial Data Availability – If only one part of the data (either market value or growth percentage) is available, you will still be able to use that information while manually entering the missing details.
When will CoreLogic data become available?
If CoreLogic data wasn’t initially available, don’t worry, once the necessary market data is updated, it will automatically appear in the Update Valuation section of your property in TaxTank. You’ll be able to refresh your valuation and growth forecast as soon as new data becomes accessible.
We understand how important accurate property data is for tracking your investments. TaxTank ensures you always have access to the latest CoreLogic data when available, but when it’s not, you still have full control to keep your records up to date.
