How to change the initial portfolio for your property

Learn how to easily update a property’s portfolio if it was assigned incorrectly & keep your property movements accurate for tax compliance.

If you accidentally assigned a property to the wrong portfolio, don’t worry—it’s easy to update. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Property Tank
    Navigate to the Property Tank dashboard.

  2. Select the Property to Move
    Find the property you want to update and click the three dots next to it.
    Choose Move Property from the dropdown menu.

  3. Edit Portfolio in History of Movements
    In the pop-up window, locate the History of Movements section.
    Click the pencil icon next to the original date to edit the portfolio.

  4. Assign the Correct Portfolio
    Change the portfolio to the one you want, for example, Vacant Land or Investment Portfolio.

  5. Refresh Your Page
    Once updated, refresh your page. You should now see the property in the correct portfolio.

Updating your property’s portfolio is simple, so even if you made a mistake initially, you can quickly get it right.
