Some users are currently experiencing issues with PDF downloads, and because invoices rely on the same PDF generation process, this can also affect emailed invoices. The issue appears to be now isolated to some browsers when using mobile devices or Mac computers. We know this is frustrating — and no, it’s not just you!
What’s causing it?
A recent Google Chrome update introduced a glitch affecting the PDF rendering tool we use (html2canvas). While we’ve resolved most of the slowdown, the underlying Chrome issue is still causing:
PDFs not downloading on certain devices or browsers
Invoice emails appearing stuck or delayed (because the PDF can’t be created)
Quick fixes you can try whilst this issue is being resolved
Because this bug sits at browser level, behavior varies depending on your device. Here’s what currently works best:
📱 Phones (iPhone & Android)
PDFs may not download in Chrome or Firefox on mobile.
Fix: Try using Safari (iPhone) — it’s currently the most reliable mobile option.
💻 Mac (macOS)
Some users may experience issues downloading PDFs in Safari.
Fix: Switch to Opera, Firefox or Chrome, which are all working reliably.
If none of the above works, reach out — we can generate and send the invoice manually if you need it urgently.
If nothing works, reach out to us, we can help generate the invoice manually if you need it urgently.
What we’re doing
We’re actively working on:
Updating our PDF generator so it’s less affected by browser changes
Testing a more stable rendering method to avoid this bug entirely
Monitoring the official fix from Chrome and html2canvas
We’ll push a permanent fix as soon as possible and keep you updated.
