You can easily invite your accountant, accept an invite or remove an accountant from the dashboard.
Inviting an Accountant
Simply click on 'Invite your accountant', in the pop-up simply enter your accountants first name, and email address. Your accountant will then receive an invitation to accept, or an invitation to join TaxTank if they're not already registered.
Accepting an Accountant Invite
If an accountant has sent you an invitation, it will be waiting for you in the users sections. Simply click on the main menu and select 'user's. Once in the users section, select the 'accountant's tab and then click accept.
Once accepted, the invitation will move to Current Accountant and you'll be able to share information and chat live.
FAQs
Q: I’m trying to add my accountant and it says “bad request.”
A: This usually means you already have a current accountant linked to your account, and you’ll need to remove them before inviting another. It could also mean you have an outstanding invite that your accountant hasn’t accepted yet.
Q: Can I have more than one accountant linked at the same time?
A: No, you can only have one accountant connected to your account at a time.
Q: How do I remove my current accountant so I can invite a new one?
A: Go to the Users section from the top right hand menu, select the accountant section, and click “Remove.” Once they’ve been removed, you’ll be able to send a new invite.
Q: My accountant says they didn’t get the invite. What should I do?
A: First, ask them to check their spam or junk folder. If it’s not there, you can cancel the invite in the Users section and resend it. Double check to make sure the email address is correct before resending.
Q: Can I change the email address the invite was sent to?
A: Yes. You’ll need to cancel the pending invite, then send a new one using the correct email address.
