How to edit or remove bank rules

Understand how to effortlessly edit or remove bank rules within TaxTank, ensuring flexibility and control.

If an amount or description has changed, or a bank rule is not picking up the right recurring transactions, you can edit the rule conditions from the bank rules tab.

How to Edit Bank Rules

  1. Go to Bank Feeds from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select the bank account that contains the rule, then click the Bank Rules tab.

  3. Choose the rule type you want to edit (expense, income, or transfer).

  4. Find the rule you’d like to update and click Edit.

  5. Make your changes, then select Save.

You can also edit from the transaction line if a rule has triggered.

How to Delete Bank Rules

Go to Bank Feeds from the left-hand menu.
Select the bank account that contains the rule, then click the Bank Rules tab.
Choose the rule type you want to delete (expense, income, or transfer).
Find the rule you’d like to delete and click the red bin icon.
When the confirmation popup appears, select Confirm.
