If you’ve accidentally allocated a bank transaction and need to undo it, here’s how to fix it in just a few steps:
Step 1 – Go to Account Transactions
From the Bank Feeds dashboard, select the account and click Reconcile Items.
Then switch to the Account Transactions tab at the top.
Step 2 – Find the Transaction(s) and Undo
Use the search bar to locate the transaction you want to undo.
Click the Redo all button next to the transaction to remove the full allocation.
If you need to undo multiple transactions at once, just tick the checkboxes next to each one, then click Redo all at the top.
Once undone, the transactions will move back to the Reconcile tab so you can reallocate them correctly.
FAQs
Q: Can I still reallocate transactions if I no longer have access to a Tank?
A: Yes — as long as Bank Feeds are still available through another active Tank, previously allocated bank feed transactions can still be accessed from the Account Transactions tab within Bank Feeds and reallocated using Redo all.
This is because bank feed transactions are managed through Bank Feeds, not locked permanently to the original Tank they were allocated to.
However, manually entered transactions created directly inside a Tank may no longer be editable if that Tank is inactive. If you need access to manually entered transactions again, you may need to reactivate that Tank or manually recreate the transactions elsewhere if appropriate.
