How to handle transfers that couldn't be matched

Learn how to manage unmatched transfers in TaxTank for seamless tracking and categorisation.

If we can't match your transfer, you will receive a warning notice from TaxTank.

This could happen if the bank hasn't sent us the information yet, or if you accidentally selected the wrong account.

First, check the correct bank account to see if you can find the transaction. If you can find it but still can't transfer, make sure the transaction is within the last five days. This is the limit we put on transfers to ensure accuracy.

If youโ€™re unable to find a match for the transaction, we recommend categorising it as personal. You can use one of the standard options like Personal Income โ€“ Other or Personal Expenses โ€“ Other, or create a custom personal category to suit your needs. For mortgage repayments, you can also use the Loan Payment โ€“ no linked bank account category.
