How to add TaxTank to your home screen like an App (iPhone & Android)

Learn how to add TaxTank to your home screen on iPhone or Android so you can access it quickly, just like an app.

Updated today

You can access TaxTank just like an app by adding it to your home screen. It works on most mobile browsers including Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

On iPhone

iPhones allows this feature through Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Duck Duck Go and many more.

  1. Open Browser and go to https://my.taxtank.com.au

  2. Tap the Share icon (square with an arrow pointing up)

  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen

  4. Rename it if you like, then tap Add

You’ll now see the TaxTank icon on your home screen, ready to open like an app.

On Android

Most modern Android browsers support this feature, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Samsung Internet.

Steps may vary slightly depending on your browser, but they’re generally the same:

  1. Open your browser and go to https://my.taxtank.com.au

  2. Tap the browser menu icon (usually three dots)

  3. Select Add to Home screen or Install App

  4. Rename it if you’d like, then tap Add

Once added, you can launch TaxTank directly from your home screen, just like any other app.

If your browser doesn’t support this option, we recommend using Chrome for the best experience. And if you hit any snags, let us know — we're here to help.

A dedicated app is on the way

We know many customers would love a dedicated TaxTank app, and it’s something we’re actively working towards.

That said, our biggest priority right now is making sure the tax logic behind the platform is as accurate and reliable as possible.

Unlike simple ledger or budgeting software, TaxTank is built to calculate your live individual tax position using Australian tax rules across income, deductions, property, shares, crypto, CGT, depreciation, and more.

That level of complexity means accuracy and integrity always come first.

We’d rather get the numbers right than rush an app experience before the underlying tax engine is exactly where it needs to be.

In the meantime, adding TaxTank to your home screen gives you fast, app-like access with the full functionality of the platform.
