If you’ve started a new subscription or free trial but TaxTank still shows your old status, don’t worry. This usually happens because your browser is showing outdated information saved in its cache.

Here’s how to clear your browser cache and get your subscription status updating properly.

Clear your browser cache

Browsers save files to help pages load faster. Sometimes these saved files cause problems, like not showing your updated subscription or trial status.

Follow these steps to clear your cache:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data. Select “Cached images and files,” then click Clear data.

  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data. Select Cached Web Content and click Clear.

  • Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data. Select Cached images and files, then click Clear now.

  • Safari (Mac): Safari > Preferences > Advanced. Enable “Show Develop menu,” then go to Develop > Empty Caches.

After clearing your cache, restart your browser and log back into TaxTank. Your subscription or trial status should now update correctly.
