CBA data sharing issue affecting some business customers – Trading Entity Business Name

Learn how a CBA data sharing issue affects business customers with a TEBN profile type and how to contact CBA to resolve the issue.

Updated yesterday

CBA is currently working to enable data sharing for some business customers who hold their accounts under a ‘Trading Entity Business Name’ (TEBN) profile type.

What's happening?

  • Some customers are currently unable to share data via Open Banking for accounts held under a TEBN profile type

  • This means you may not see accounts linked to your TEBN profile type in your list of available accounts when setting up a data sharing arrangement

  • This may occur in different scenarios, including:

    • Where you have multiple proprietors connected to your TEBN profile type

    • Where accounts are held in complex, multi-layered ownership structures (for example, where the proprietor of a TEBN profile type is a Trust, with a Corporate Trustee)

  • They are working on a solution to address these data sharing issues

How to contact CBA

If you experience any issues with data sharing on account/s under your TEBN profile type, call CBA on 13 2221 from 8am to 8pm (for CommBank) or 13 2339 anytime (for CommBiz customers) for assistance, and note that your query relates to ‘Open Banking data sharing’ and ‘Trading Entity Business Name’.
