If you're trying to connect a Trust or Business account from CBA (Commonwealth Bank) to TaxTank and the account isn’t showing, you may need to update your data sharing permissions via CBA’s Open Banking portal.
Additionally, the need for data sharing permissions often extends to SMSF (Self-Managed Super Fund) accounts and similar processes may be observed with other banks, not just CBA.
Why can’t I see my CBA Trust or Business account?
CBA requires the account holder to actively authorise data sharing for each account, including Trust and Business accounts. This step needs to be completed through the bank’s online data sharing portal to allow third-party access.
For trust and SMSF accounts, enabling data sharing is critical. Delegate consent may also be required, allowing the bank to verify permissions for associated entities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I add both personal and business/trust accounts for CBA?

Q: I have to choose between my business and personal profiles when I login to CBA. Why can’t I select both?
A: CBA's Open Banking systems only allow one profile to be selected at a time. In TaxTank, you can create an additional profile so both personal and business profiles can be live simultaneously.
